Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga has, inevitably, been announced for release on PS5, as the concept of Microsoft or Xbox exclusive content becomes ever more meaningless. Ninja Theory’s insanely over-hyped adventure game will arrive on PlayStation in enhanced form sometime in the Summer.
On the one-year anniversary of its initial release, it seems Xbox Games Studios couldn’t wait another moment to announce the news. Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga Enhanced will include new features, which will also come to Xbox and PC platforms via an update.
Ninja Theory studio head, Dom Matthews, invoked the studio’s excellent Heavenly Sword, and welcomed PlayStation gamers back into the fold after an extended exclusivity period.
At this point, very little of Xbox Games Studios’ slate hasn’t either been announced for or made its way to PlayStation, chief amongst them Starfield or the load-bearing Halo franchise. Once those franchises inevitably make their way over, and we’d imagine one or the other will before the year is out, you can comfortably trade in your Xbox console, as the industry enters strange and uncharted territory.
